The Doctor in Cowgirl Boots

Dr. Morgan Jean Craig Belknap

Doctor of Social Work

My story

I have a story of pain to passion, where I began my most significant healing journey after surviving the Route 91 Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017. Through my healing journey of receiving therapy, I attended school and received my bachelor’s in psychology and my master’s in counseling psychology to become a therapist specializing in trauma. I became licensed and knew I wanted to pursue more education to achieve the goals I had on my heart. I went back to school and received my doctor of social work.

As my educational career came to a close, my heart led me down a path of pursuing the feat of starting my own business, Healing Not Healed.

My dream for Healing Not Healed is to help people feel a little less alone. I originally wanted to help others with trauma in a one-on-one setting, and quickly realized that I craved a community component when helping others through their pain or struggles. This company focuses on the beauty that comes with community building.

In 2024, I took the leap and decided to write and publish my own book, Retired Boots: A Collection of Poems from a Route 91 Survivor & I am currently in the progress of planning out a book tour.

I am married to a wonderful man and am a bonus mama to two beautiful little souls. I love off-roading, spending time with my family, and traveling for fun.
